Underpass Stanleyweg Venlo

Cyclists and pedestrians currently use the crossing at the Heierhoevenweg, but due to the construction of a rail terminal, this crossing can no longer be used. The level crossing will be replaced by a new cycling and pedestrian tunnel under the Venlo-Blerick track, which will replace the level crossing at the Heierhoevenweg, and connect Trade Port North and Trade Port West.

Prinses Amaliaviaduct Maasvlakte

In light of the limited traffic volumes in the first years after the commercial opening of Maasvlakte 2, it was decided at the first instance to use a level crossing on the Maasvlakteweg near the Prinses Amaliahaven. Several roads (Maasvlakteweg, Prinses Maximaweg, Maasvlakteboulevard and Amoerweg) will come together at the location of this crossing, including a railway line, a pipeline strip and a future Container Exchange Route (CER).

Diversion of Zuid-Willemsvaart

The diversion of the Zuid-Willemsvaart will lead to a more sustainable and better accessible Brabant by water. After the diversion, larger container vessels - with a maximum of three layers - will be able to sail through the Zuid-Willemsvaart to the container terminal in Veghel. After the diversion, large vessels no longer have to sail through the city centre. Open bridges and waiting cars would also be an issue of the past. The new locks at Empel and Berlicum can handle larger vessels. Bridges are being built over the new Zuid-Willemsvaart. The largest passage has a field span of more than 100 metres. All road and water connections are carried out by WillemsUnie.

Amsterdam North-South Line

Under the monumental Amsterdam Central Station, a lot of hard work was done on the construction of part of the metro line and a metro station for the North-South line. This is a new metro line that connects the city centre of Amsterdam with the north and south of the city.

N470 Works 16 Berkel en Rodenrijs

The N470 was newly constructed in 2006. The construction of the N470 has created a new and safe connection between Delft and Zoetermeer, with a separate exit to Rotterdam. The road and railway cross each other at a skewed angle of approximately 60 degrees.

Crane foundation Baars Sliedrecht

Baars B.V. is a company established on the Rivierdijk in Sliedrecht that focuses entirely on the rental and sale of dredging equipment. The yard has an area of 9,000 m2 and is situated on the river Merwede.

Bridge De Derde Brug in Abcoude

The bridge “De Derde Brug” is part of the new city centre ring, which takes through traffic around the city centre of Abcoude. This drawbridge, over the Angstel, consists of two separate towers. The engine room is located in one of the towers, the other provides space for the bridge keeper. The body and flange structure of the twelve-metre balances is derived from the two existing drawbridges in the village.

Bridges over the Zuid-Willemsvaart in Den Dungen-Veghel

The integrated project ‘Omlegging en Opwaardering Zuid-Willemsvaart Maas-Veghel’ (Diversion and upgrading of the Zuid-Willemsvaart Maas-Veghel) is an initiative of the Department of Public Works. The project is the upgrading of an important part of the Brabant canals. Part of the project is the ‘Topsysteem Zuid-Willemsvaart Den Dungen-Veghel’ (Top system Zuid-Willemsvaart Den Dungen-Veghel) with the project objective of making the Zuid-Willemsvaart between Den Dungen and Veghel suitable for class IV shipping, three-layer container shipping. The jacking up of three bridges is part of this project.

Flevopolder Bridges

Together with the province of Flevoland, Staatsbosbeheer (Dutch forestry organisation) has provided recreational facilities for the surroundings of the Kotterbos and the Vaartplas.

Leugenbrug in The Hague

The Leugenbrug is located on the Nieuweweg in The Hague. The old bridge has been replaced by a new one, a two-stage replacement, in which the bridge was widened and strengthened. The widening makes it possible to create safe, separate cycling and pedestrian lanes. The new bridge also ensures that there is more room to pass underneath the bridge.

Lange Brug in Gorinchem

The Lange Brug bridge lies between the Stadhuisplein and the roundabout adjacent to the Nieuw Wolpherensedijk on the Kanaal van Steenenhoek (canal).

Auxiliary bridge over the Zuiddiepje (Nieuwe Maas)

During the reconstruction of the Zuiderpark in Rotterdam, large quantities of soil were brought up (approx. 50,000 m3), which were deposited in the former 10 m deep metro building dock on the Eiland van Brienenoord (island in the river Nieuwe Maas). Since no suitable bridge was available for heavy traffic, a choice had to be made: transport of the ground partly by axle and partly by water or entirely by road via a temporary movable auxiliary bridge. Using standard modular bridge bulkheads from DVA, this bridge proved to be the economically most attractive. The bridge bulkheads used are characterised by their low constructional height and suitability for the heaviest traffic class.

Bridge over De Gantel in Nieuwendijk

De Gantel is a watercourse that runs to the east of the village Nieuwendijk.

New construction of municipal office in Venlo

The new municipal office is an icon on the Meuse that proudly refers to the agrologistic tradition of the city. At the same time, it places Venlo at the centre of attention for Cradle to Cradle design. The municipal office is represented according to these principles and results in a building that combines a comfortable and healthy work environment with sustainable innovation.

Quay Lange Haven Plus in Schiedam

Within the Lange Haven Plus project, the canal in Schiedam is being brought back in good condition. At the same time, the work is being used to give the revised quays a new layout.

17,000 m of screw piles will be placed inside and behind the quay walls. These walls do not need to be completely overhauled; after the screw piles have been placed, the load-bearing function of the quay walls will disappear. Concrete precast elements are put onto the piles to distribute the pressure from surface loading. The advantage of this approach is that the existing quays can be maintained.

Redevelopment of Ottenhome and Swingboei in Loosdrecht

At the former locations Ottenhome/Kompas and the Swingboei, villas, apartments, a catering facility and a small marina will be realised.

Construction pit Schiecentrale

In 1906, the GEB power station was completed in the Lloyd Quarter of Rotterdam, surrounded by the Nieuwe Maas, the Schiehaven and the Parkhaven adjacent to the Euromast park. In 2006, exactly 100 years later, the same Schiecentrale area was revitalised.

Building Pit Erasmus MC Rotterdam

For the purpose of dimensioning the building pit at the location of building PA, sheet piling calculations were carried out, consisting of an anchored combi wall and AZ 48 sheet piling. Near very sensitive installations, deformation is minimized by using complicated phasing to prevent damage.

Damage consultancy and expertise Hazira Bund, India

The port of Hazira (Surat) is suitable for deep-sea vessels and is located in the Gujarat district on the west coast of India, approx. 25 km from Surat. Geotextile bags have been used as temporary bank protection.

ROWIJ Bouwchemie B.V. is a specialised company in the field of concrete repair in accordance with BRL 3201 and concrete protection. ROWIJ Bouwchemie B.V. also focusses on the installation of synthetic and cement plastic-bonded industrial floors and is an expert when it comes to joint transitions, coatings and wear and tear layers.

Reconstruction of the Lange Geldersekade in Dordrecht

The Lange Geldersekade and the Korte Engelenburgerkade in Dordrecht are in a deteriorated state. The quay walls of the Lange Geldersekade and the Korte Engelenburgerkade will be completely renovated.

It concerns the part up to and including the corner with the Korte Engelenburgerkade. The repair of the quay wall is also reason to perform maintenance activities in the surrounding area. Therefore, the Lange Geldersekade and the Korte Engelenburgerkade will be redeveloped and the pavement will be renewed. The redeveloped Korte Geldersekade and the Houttuin up to the Vleeshouwersstraat are part of this project.

Pumping station Tull en ’t Waal

Hydron Midden-Nederland has decided to replace the Tull en ’t Waal pumping station. The new building will contain an expansion of the purification process, with softening in granular reactors. After completion, Hydron Midden-Nederland will supply approximately six million cubic metres of softened drinking water from the new pumping station to customers in Nieuwegein, Schalkwijk and Houten.

Quay wall Santiago de Cuba

A quay construction (approximately 70 m1 in length) was designed for a project in Cuba.

The quay is used for mooring vessels with a draught of less than 2,5 m.

The quay construction consists of a sheet piling anchored with tie rods and an anchor wall. The top of the quay has a concrete reinforced floor, on which light equipment (work traffic) can appear.

Euryzakade in Zwijndrecht

This project is part of the redevelopment of the former Euryza site in Zwijndrecht, consisting of the construction of a boulevard with houses, a car park and a cultural square along the Oude Maas. Land reclamation is realised by installing a quay construction and backfilling.

De Spil in Houten

The project consists of a two-storey underground car park, each layer providing space for 200 cars. The ground floor consists of 7,500 m2 of retail space, divided into 34 store units of various sizes. The upper floors consist of a cinema with a catering facility and four blocks of houses.

Refurbishment of the bridges Prinses Beatrixpark in Schiedam

The Prinses Beatrix Park in Schiedam is a city park that offers numerous recreational features, such as a petting zoo, a playground, a botanical garden, restaurants, sunbathing and barbecue areas. The park has a number of cycling and pedestrian bridges that have been renovated.

A2/A67 Eindhoven ring road reconstruction project

To structurally solve the traffic problems on the A2/A67 Eindhoven ring road, the 17-kilometre Eindhoven ring road will be expanded from 2 to 4 lanes between the Ekkersrijt and Leenderheide interchanges, separating through traffic from local traffic.
