Client project: Province of Flevoland
Client: Colijn Aannemersbedrijf B.V.
Together with the province of Flevoland, Staatsbosbeheer (Dutch forestry organisation) has provided recreational facilities for the surroundings of the Kotterbos and the Vaartplas.
Three concrete bike bridges were built, with a span of 180 metres over the A6 motorway, 64 metres over the N305 provincial road (Gooiseweg) and 97 metres over the Lage Vaart canal. These bridges connect two nature reserves, Kotterbos and Horsterwold, and from now on, cyclists can reach the Horsterwold from Almere.
The spans are realised with precast box beams, h=0.9 m and 0.95 m. Access ramps must be constructed in the vicinity of one bridge. Traffic measures are being implemented on the A6 motorway. A wooden handrail is provided. The horizontal radius of curvature is carried out with ‘straight’ prefabricated concrete box beams, on which a coating with a horizontal radius of curvature is applied.

DVA has provided a superintendent.
