To structurally solve the traffic problems on the A2/A67 Eindhoven ring road, the 17-kilometre Eindhoven ring road will be expanded from 2 to 4 lanes between the Ekkersrijt and Leenderheide interchanges, separating through traffic from local traffic.
For through traffic, existing lanes will be renewed and new parallel lanes for regional traffic will be built. Nearly all existing structures will be renewed and widened. The structures are divided into four types: fly-overs, portals, viaducts and underpasses.
DVA has provided a design leader who is responsible for the design of approximately 70 new structures. Pile, vibration and sound analyses were carried out for the pile-driving of precast concrete piles of many structures.
