Following the awarding of the design and construction contract to Mobilis, DVA dimensioned the quay wall in the design and execution design phase of the project.
In order to create an economical and feasible design, the quay wall was designed as a steel sheet piling with a load relief structure. This reduces the active ground pressure at the top of the wall. In addition, the top load is transferred to the load-bearing subsoil via the relief floor and the foundation piles. Special attention in the design is the high and low water levels in relation to the construction phases and the interaction with the existing buildings.
