The project consists of a two-storey underground car park, each layer providing space for 200 cars. The ground floor consists of 7,500 m2 of retail space, divided into 34 store units of various sizes. The upper floors consist of a cinema with a catering facility and four blocks of houses.
DVA has, in cooperation with partners A.W. Molhoek B.V. (specialist earthworks), Bauer Funderingstechniek (grout anchors and GEWI tension/compression anchor piles), contracted the design and realisation of the construction site for the 'De Spil' project, the renovation of the shopping centre (including high-rise buildings above shops) in Houten from main contractor Van Wijnen.
Through the optimisation and application of innovative (design) techniques of the engineering department of DVA, in cooperation with the design department of Van Wijnen (Wijcon B.V.), and a tight scheduling of the activities, a competitive tender was created, and Van Wijnen awarded the contract for this work to DVA.
